jQuery Cycle Slideshow IE 9 Bug

The jQuery slideshow will not function in IE9. I see the image and text but no slide numbers and the slideshow doesn't play. It runs fine in IE7, IE8 and IE9 Compatibility mode. Thoughts? I'm not a jQuery expert so I'm not sure where to start tinkering.

Bump on this. I am having the same issue with IE9. Has anyone found a fix on this?

I am seeing this error;
SCRIPT438: Object doesn't support property or method 'getElementsByTagName'
jquery.js, line 16 character 59007

Looks like this was a jQuery bug and was supposedly fixed in version 1.6.2 per this ticket: IE9 document.getElementsByTagName throws an error

What version of jQuery (and Mura) are you running?

FYI - If the above link doesn't work you may need to refresh your browser a few times until it shows the page... I think that part of the jQuery site is experiencing issues.

It's been working for me a while now and I don't recall doing anything other than upgrading MURA to the latest version.

I downloaded the CMS at some point in Dec(2011). It has the 1.5 jquery, I downloaded the newest files and saw it was up to 1.7. I tried to update the core files for the cms, but it killed all styling we had site in IE. I think it updated some of the css, so i had to revert it back until I had time to look at it more.

I tried to just update the jquery file, and it made IE9 better, but other IE 7 was worse.

I tested the slideshow in both IE7 and IE9 without issue. Can you be specific about what you're referring to?

The newest version of the CMS is okay, it has updated the jquery (1.7 or 1.8). I had downloaded a version back at the start of Dec. It contained jquery 1.5, which did have an issue with IE9.

Yeah, I saw that. How about IE7?

IE7 works as well with the newer jquery update. It also worked with the 1.5 version as well.
