The Mura Show
A couple of weeks ago we received a paid support request for someone who is relatively new to Mura CMS. Although they had gotten quite far with the Mura Support Forum and Documentation, they still had a few questions with regards to best practices and solving specific problems.
It was the eve before a site launch and things needed to happen fast. Fortunately, within about an hour's time, we were able to point them in the right direction and the site launch was no longer in jeopardy. It was great to offer so much help in such little time.
Naturally, I thought how nice it would be for more people to be able to do this, for folks to have at least a little access to the Mura team to ask similar questions in real time. After all, there is only so much you can accomplish in a support forum without being to able to point and explain. So that's what we're doing.
Starting December 16th, Matt and I will launch The Mura Show to do as much pointing and 'splaining as we can in about an hour. We'll be covering topics suggested by the Mura Community, maybe pick a couple of questions from the forum, talk about what's currently being worked on with Mura itself and where it's going, and anything else people want to talk about regarding Mura.

Hi. This is great news for Mura developers. Unfortunately for me, though, that time might not be the most convenient. Will the sessions be recorded?

Hi Tony, Sorry that time doesn't work well for you. We tried to pick a time would work for most people - late in the day for east coasters, lunch-ish for us west coasters and a reasonable time for our Aussie friends. If it we get any better suggestions, we're definitely open to it.
And yes, they'll be recorded.

No sweat, Sean. I might be able to make some of them at least, and I'm glad I'll be able to catch the recording for the rest of them. Thanks again!

One suggestion might be a followup session on Steve's cfmeetup on integrating a new stylesheet to a mura site. Specifically, once it is integrated, how to access those new styles in the FCK editor when the customer is creating new content to maintain the look and feel of the site.
Another one might be related to where to draw the line in what you can accomplish with Mura and when you should drop in an application using a framework.
Thanks

Second Dan! There really isn't enough documentation on all that Mura can do, especially when it comes to styling.
One other suggestion i have is to talk a bit about plugins, specifically which ones really are going to come out soon, as most have just read "coming soon" for months. In particular, i'm looking for an ecommerce plugin, and have several sites ready to move over to Mura if they had this type of plugin available.
other than that, i'm super excited for the meeting!
Thanks again for making such a great resource!

How often will these be airing? Weekly? Monthly?
Or is this just a one time thing?

Ronnie, these will be every Wednesday at 1:00 PM PST as long as it makes sense for us to do them.

@Dan,
Regarding the FCKeditor toolbar/styles, I whipped up a quick blog post here: http://www.stephenwithington.com/blog/index.cfm/2009/12/15/Adding-Custom-CSS-Style-Options-to-the-Mura-CMS-Content-Editor-Toolbar
